There's something implied but never said about the creatures The Descent 2 was terrible and ruined the first one for me, I don't suggest it at all! I disagree sequels aren't usually as good because you already know the monster or mystery of the first so they have to make them gorier and rely on the same suspense creating ideas in the original. The descent 2 did this better than most horror sequels; you wet your pants in the first the second will make you jump and it's an alright plot.

Also just to concur with everyone I've seen all those movies the poster here mentioned and there all insanely good, but my favorite fucking horror movie of all time by miles is the descent. Or you could try good horror movies like The Sentinel, The Entity, Rosemary's Baby, or any other horror movie ever made!!! But seriously try these movies, as well as The Thing and The Howling. The Grudge is pretty good but only because of Sam Raimi, speaking of which check out any of the Evil Dead movies the first one is the scariest.

Id say the movie "Mama" is similar it came out in January. And also the movie "Poltergeist" it gives me nightmares lol. The Exorcist Amazing no one mentioned this classic.
